GSE – Seek Your SEEKTM in Entrepreneurship
About GSE
The GSE is a division of GOU focusing on practical NPQ TM (No Paper Qualification)Entrepreneurship Programs designed to provide an intensive immersion entrepreneurial SEEK(Skills, Expertise, Experience, and Know-how) for the next generation of Entrepreneurs setting up and building their Businesses in the 4th Industrial Revolution(4IR) economy (FIRE).
GSE sees entrepreneurship as creating, setting up, managing, building, and growing businesses to produce goods and services that people need or want and, in the process, create jobs and wealth and contributing to social and economic development. The GSE Programs target already-in business and potential entrepreneurs, from micro-business to large corporation corporate entrepreneurs.
The GSE practical NPQ Programs lay less emphasis on teaching, and there are no tests, exams, grades, or paper qualifications at the completion of the Programs. The Program Participants Learn-Do-Know-Acquire their Entrepreneurial SEEK (Skills, Expertise, Experience, and Know-how) through creating and acquiring what they Learn, Do, and Know.
Participants are not taught elements of the Entrepreneurial SEEK. Rather the Learning-by-Involvement (LbI) and Knowing-by-Doing (KbD) activity-based approach is used through well-crafted learning, doing and knowing entrepreneurial and entrepreneurship concepts, principles, subject areas, activities, actions, tasks, situations, case studies, circumstances, scenarios, examples, practices, etc. to enable them to acquire the relevant entrepreneurial SEEK TM to set up, manage, build, grow and expand their businesses.
All GSE Programs are, therefore, Personal Initiative Intensity Commitment (PIIC)-based that expects Program Participants to take full responsibility for Learning-Doing-Knowing-Acquiring their entrepreneurial SEEK(Skills, Expertise, Experience, Knowledge) through the Learning-by-Involvement (LbI) and Knowing-by-Doing (KbD) activity-based approach.
The GSE Programs
KEEPTM – The Kilimajaro Entrepreneurship Experience Programs
VEBizTM – The Vocation Enabled Business Entrepreneurship Programs
EiRTM – The Entrepreneur-in-Residence Programs
iCSEPTM – The In-College Students Entrepreneurship Program
All GSE Programs, as NPQTM programs, are ‘no-paper-qualification’ (certificate/diploma/degree) based programs where Participants are not expected to work towards getting a paper qualification at the end of each of these Programs through taking and passing required course assignments, tests, or exams and getting grades for them. Your qualification on a GSE Program is Your Business Startup which one is expected to establish before enrolling on each of the Programs or set up during the Program or startup after completing any of the Programs.
The philosophy underlying the GSE Programs is based on a paraphrased quote partially attributable to Confucius, the Chinese Philosopher: “Tell Me, and I Forget; Teach Me, and I May Remember; Involve Me, and I Learn; (Get Me To Do It and I will Know It)”. Each of the GSE Programs, therefore, lays ZERO emphasis on Telling (Tell Me and I Forget), LESS emphasis on Teaching (Teach Me and I May Remember), a MAJOR emphasis on Involving (Involve Me and I Learn), and MAXIMUM emphasis on Getting TO DO IT (Get Me To Do It and I will Know It)) aspects in delivering the Modules of Program.
The GSE Programs, therefore, do not emphasize teaching the participants entrepreneurial skills, expertise, experience, or know-how. Rather they are encouraged and empowered to acquire the relevant entrepreneurial SEEKTM through the innovative Learn-Do-Know-Acquire approach.
Participants on all GSE Programs are therefore encouraged and empowered to use their creative capabilities and abilities (a must-have for Entrepreneurs and aspiring Entrepreneurs) to create and contribute to the entrepreneurial SEEKTM they want to acquire through active engagement Learning-by-Involvement (LbI) and Knowing-by-Doing (KbD) activity-based approach adopted for delivering the GSE Programs. The process is, therefore Learn-Do-Know-Acquire through active engagement Learning-by-Involvement (LbI) and Knowing-by-Doing (KbD) activity-based approach adopted for delivering all GSE Programs.
The GSE Programs, in effect, do emphasize the development, acquisition, and capitalization of entrepreneurial SEEKTM through activity-based Learn-Do-Know-Acquire based on an active engagement Learning-by-Involvement (LbI) and Knowing-by-Doing (KbD) process to advance entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial skills, expertise, experience, know-how and practices that promote economic and social development within the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution Economy. GSE alumni are empowered and encouraged to pursue the path of being wealth and job creators rather than job seekers.
